PEST Interface in "Water Evaluation And Planning" System

The PEST interface in the WEAP Water Evaluation And Planning System allows the user to include a linkage to PEST that automates the process of comparing WEAP outputs to historical observations and modifying model parameters to improve its accuracy.

Using the PEST Calibration Wizard in WEAP, a user can choose which model parameters to adjust, and which results and observations to compare.  WEAP then builds  and runs the PEST scripts to perform the calibration.
